We are now in Busia

We're so thrilled to announce that we expanded our operations this month! We’re now in Busia County!

Why Busia?

We're so glad you asked! As of 2019, only 6% of households in Busia had access to electricity. Which is about one-quarter of the rate in Kenya: 22.69%. High reliance on tin lamps and lanterns contrasts a national trend where more households are taking up electricity and solar for lighting.

As DGE, we're on a mission to brighten the lives of the 150k+ households in Busia, currently living without reliable energy access.

And this is a great step!
